The Ambassador is a twin-stick fantasy shooter centered around the ability to pause time. You’ll play as Gregor, a newly recruited member of the Eternal Fellowship, and an Ambassador of Time. Just as you are learning to use your newfound powers, the Fellowship’s capital city is mysteriously destroyed! As one of the only remaining fellows, you must find those responsible and return Tamaris to its former glory.

The Ambassador was my first major release and was the game that ultimately led to the creation of tinyDino Games. The Ambassador grew from a small twin-stick rogue-like into a fully realized arcade shooter over the course of three and a half years. We found publishing two and a half years in by partnering with the Quantum Astrophysicists Guild (QAG). Through QAG we secured funding for a Composer, Trailer, Localization, and QA team. We demoed the Ambassador at 6 different conferences across the US and many more remotely in Europe. I ported the game to Xbox and Switch for a successful simultaneous release in August of 2020. The Ambassador was featured in the January 2021 Humble Bundle as well. While I believe my more recent work has eclipsed The Ambassador in engineering and design, releasing The Ambassador is the coolest thing I've ever done and I'm still very proud of it.

Designed, built, and optimized game systems spanning 55 levels, 20+ weapons, 20+ enemies, and 4 bosses.

Ported and optimized the game for Xbox and Nintendo Switch where a stable 30 fps in handheld mode was achieved.
